the interval has been too long, even for such a lazy man as me.
in fact i seem to have had forgotten all about the blog. and when i decided to start posting again, i casually made a search. it seems there are many more navel gazers. and i thought i shall share a few here.
there is this collection of poems titled the navel gaze, by ariel gordon.
about the collection:
The navel gaze is a mash-up of pregnancy-and-mothering poems and urban/nature poems that functions as an anti-sentiment manifesto from Winnipeg-based writer and editor Ariel Gordon. Month by month, stanza by stanza, Gordon attempts to adequately represent the wonder and devilment of being-with-child. The navel gaze is a love poem written simultaneously to a father and child, to a lover and the glimmer in his eye, and to a city that is gritty, faded, but still greener-than-most.
